Pain in my right arm along the radius bone any ideas?

I have an increasingly painful arm, I haven't knocked that I know of or fallen on it - so faily sure I haven't broken it. It hurts like mad if I put any weight through my hand - for example lean on my hand to get up from the floor. It is painful when you press along the bone - totally painless when you press the muscle. It seems a silly thing to go and bother the DR with so thought I would see if anyone has any ideas - I am getting refered pain from it down into my fingers -little finger and ring finger.

thanks for reading!

you don't have to fall on an arm to break it!!
you could have twisted it to break it instead?

its not a silly thing to bother a GP with, there are a number of things it could be.

I would get to the GP today (thursday) and get it checked out or if you can't see anyone and it has got worse or stayed the same, go to A+E, it could be nothing, it could be more serious

Agree with misi. Get thee to GP in the a.m

RSI from computer?

squeakypop · 13/11/2008 06:53

Could it be a neck problem?

I had a very painful arm when I had a trapped nerve in my neck. The pains started just above the elbow, and was in isolated spots in my forearm and fingers.

(I wanted to chop my arm off).

Hi Ladies,

well the pain isn't any better, but with things going on today and tomorrow it will be Monday before I "get thee" to the GP. If it gets anyworse than it is now I shall go I promise. I have some volterol that I have been taking for imflammation in my rib cage (tietze syndrome) so will carry on with that.

Squeakypop the fact it is the bone rather than muscular makes me think it not likely to be refered pain from my neck

Jallopy - I did actually wonder about RSI but the painful area is half way along the radial bone and I haven't been using the computer that much well I don't think I have

Thanks for all your suggestions and help. I shall update after the weekend and let you know who was right

take care ladies
