Bleeding 3 months after having my baby ...

As the title says, I had my baby 3 months ago, and the lochia stopped at around 6 weeks.

I have had occasional bleeding ever since though, mainly after I've had sex. Yesterday I lost quite a lot when I went to the loo, looked like a load of jelly stuff followed by a lot of bright red blood, though it wasn't enough to be considered a period and stopped altogether after about an hour.

Is this normal? I was pretty anaemic after the baby was born (7.8) and I had a 2nd degree tear, don't know if any of that is relevant.

only time I have come across anything remotely like this was where all the palcenta had not come out and was causing an infection.

jelly like stuff could be some form of repair ''goo'' from the tear and when you have intercourse, the body may be defending itself against the ''foreign invader''

best to go to you GP or midwife if still under one to be safe and to put your mind at rest

I had something similar after my DS. Had had contraceptive injection, but after second one, I bled on and off for months - stopped the injections in case it was hormone related, Dr did an internal exam and smear during which I bled so he sent me for colposcopy - nothing showed up on that, and it cleared up not long after - never did find an answer!
That's a bit long winded, so in summary, yes have had similar, would advise seeing your GP to get it checked out
