all my joints ache and are stiff - what is wrong with me?

since Saturday all my joints seem to have started aching and feeling really stiff. knees, wrists slightly painful if I turn them and finger joints all really stiff.

Its very disconcerting - I think this must be what I'm supposed to feel like when I'm 90 . Has anyone experienced this and what could it be?

theres a flu type bug going round at the moment. dh got the full works, I just got the achy joints and muscles side of it. Could be that?

it doesn't feel like flu though - it feels like when you've been exercising loads and have achy/stiff joints but I haven't been exercising loads.

very odd. Perhaps you've been exercising in your sleep
