Endometriosis and irregular periods....

Following a m/c and a d&c a few years ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis, and my periods became irregular.
The cycles have been between 10 and 49 days.
This time however I'm up to day 100 (last period was at beginning of Aug).

I'm 42 and wondering if it could be the perimenopause, the menopause or is just the endometriosis.

Any opinions?

There could also be a hormonal cause for the irregular periods; polycystic ovaries or thyroid problems may also be to blame for the irregular periods. Both possibilities should also be looked for by your GP.

I'd seek medical advice from your GP in any event and have blood tests done. If the GP is unhelpful I would seek a referral to a gynae.

I have seen a Gynae since I started with the irregular cycles (had an unsuccessful course of Clomid) and have also had a laparoscopy, removal of cysts and flushed tubes.

I suppose I do really need to go back to the DR. I just presumed they would say there was nothing they could do.
