for a number 2.

I had what i think were piles a while back, but the 'went' away...
Now over last week or two when i need to go to toilet it feel like TMI on its way*..its too big and wont 'come out' ..obv it 'has' too but its very painful..once 'first' is out, i can continue normally ie no pain, but same again next time i need to go??

I eat plenty of fibre (branflakes etc), not so much water and am dieting/losing weight.

am aching now, knowing i need to go, but for those few minutews it is SO apinful..any advice?

You may have internal piles. You must drink plenty, especially if you're dieting.

I think you probably need to up your water intake.

While you're on a roll... what colour's your wee?

girlandboy · 10/11/2008 10:55

You've not got a little anal fissure have you? These can be incredibly painful when you first start to go, but the pain eases once "underway" so to speak!

Here speaks the voice of experience.

its quite yellow

and dont know if there is anything 'torn', but i do wonder if they may still be piles??..similar feeling to when i had them after i had dd?, but it seems to be more the 'size' thats the prob??..LOL..told you TMI!

Quite yellow suggest dehydration which backs up the not drinking enough water. Your body needs water to break down and absorb nutrients which might be why food is passing through and staying 'hard' and unmanageable.

Try drinking more water. You want your urine to be a very pale yellow, almost clear for good hydration. Don't go too mad though, too much water is also a bad thing.

To aid digestion, try drinking a glass of water while you have meals. Don't drink lots in one go either. Sip little and often.

Doesn't have to be water btw if you're not keen though water is good for you. All fluids add up to help. Milk on cereal, water absorbed in cooked vegetables, soup etc. All helps fluid intake. Even tea and coffee help in moderation.

Drink a bit more for a couple of days and see if it helps.

PC - I will nag you to drink

You should have half a cup every half hour or so - it's good for your bladder

I try really hard to do this (but with my job I often forget - although I am training the children to do this too)

ShowOfHands · 10/11/2008 11:56

It'll help you lose weight too being hydrated. That's quite motivating, non?

righto, thanks girls, will def up the intake now!
