coil change, is this likely to cause heavier periods immediately?

I had a mirena coil changed a few years ago. i hadn't had a period for x years and all I had with the change over is a few days spotting.

not a mirena coil, i don't normally have heavy periods so don;t think i would need that - from what i can gather.

well, am about to,, have no period problems but wondered if the initial change would cause a flood again
