Just water? I'm thinking no food at all, even though dd2 is complaining of hunger and is very bored and miserable that she can't go to school, poor thing.

How old?

If you'll let her, full fat coke/lemonade is very good when suffering from D&V. Have had this myself for last two days, it is horrid!

She's nearly 5, Ewe. Do you think it's ok to give her that so early on? I remember my mum doing that with me, usually when I was recovering.....I'm not sure if she'll keep it down.

I started on full fat coke - slow sips - about 2 hours after last being sick. I would try it just make sure she drinks it very slowly and leave it open/out for a bit so it goes a bit flat first.

If she is complaining of hunger she should be ok as her body is "saying" it is ready for something.

Thanks Ewe I'll give it a try.

NO FOOD for at least 24 hours after last stool drop or vomiting.

Lots of water, I dissolved sugar into warm water and let it cool before offering it.

Good luck

Thanks billysitch - good idea re: sugar.
