Started taking Citalopram today....Do I need to take it at the same time everyday?

and will you hole my hand because i feel abit wobbly about taking "stuff".

I started Citalopram 6 months after my LO was born and I wish I had taken it sooner. Yes, I would suggest taking it at the same time each day initially. Some people may not agree with taking "stuff" as you call it (LOL!) but I would not have managed to pull myself together without it.

It's good 'stuff'. Seriously. Depression is caused by some chemical imbalance in your brain, which the citalopram will help to fix. It's (nearly)the same as taking antibiotics to get rid of an infection, or taking insulin if you're diabetic.

Try not to get too down if it doesn't seem to be doing much at first, it can take a few weeks to build up properly.

And yes, I think you are meant to take it at the same time each day, but as it takes time to build up I'm not sure why (it's not as if you have to keep it at the same level thorughout the day). Maybe they just say it because if you take it at the same time every day you're less likely to forget.
