woke up in the night thinking i had wet myself (sorry) only to find it was my period. RIght time, horrendous pmt just hadn't clicked in my head.

Now its so so heavy and I never have heavy periods, is this normal? or should I do something?

Can you get an appointment with your GP if you are worried Penelope?
He/she can might be able to prescribe you something or at least discuss why your period is suddenly much heavier.

Heavy periods are such a bummer so stock up on night time towels and/or the mega heavy duty tampons.

I had this. Normally light periods, then the next few were really heavy but it seems to have settled down again.
You are normal but keep an eye on them and you are worried go to the docs.
