I?m just going to list symptoms and hope someone can shed some light.

When I?m on my period, I get so bloated that it hurts to (poo) sorry! And I get like a shooting pain up my bum but this is just cos I?m really bloated.
However, recently (the last week) I?ve been getting it again and it lasts longer and hasn?t gone away.
I?ve had so much excessive wind, it seems to ease when I pass wind (again, sorry!).
I?ve also have cramp/trapped nerve type feeling in my very lower back, just above my bum and through my bum and into my legs.
Please help! Midwife said it?s absolutely nothing to do with baby?

Oh gosh..sounds painful for you..no advice but i think a trip to your doctor is very much due

PuppyMonkey · 24/10/2008 12:50

Could it be trapped wind do you think? I have had it "down there" once and sounds very like what you have... Gaviscon helped a bit. Not sure about the sores though - piles?

Definitely get to the doc if you can anyway i'd say.

sounds like a case of piles, or you may have whats called a 'fish hook' is a small tear in your bowel (i think)

Definately go and see a propper doctor though

idobelieveinghosts · 24/10/2008 13:04

What are the sores like Zebraa?? are they scabby? or pulsating, hot, purpley things that blardy hurt?!

filz · 24/10/2008 13:05

I get the shooting pains up the bum and unable to poo first bit (and slightly prior to) my period too. I have a retroverted uterus and others on here said they experienced the same if retro

Go see you GP or nurse practioner asap so they can examine and diagnose you and give you some treatment and advice to relieve these symptoms. Sounds very uncomfortable. There can be lots of causes of your symptoms - do get it checked out!

Zebraa

Any symptom that is cyclical in nature and gets worse during menstruation may well be due to endometriosis.

Bowel and rectal involvement can happen with endo; it is a possibility that needs to be confirmed or ruled out by a gynae.

I would visit your GP asap and whilst you're there also ask for a referral to a gynaecologist (these problems as well are often outside a GPs remit).
