I've got it horribly and i've tried two pessaries already. i've had lots of stiches and the whole area is impossibly itchy.
I'm tempted to take the diflucan pill but i know it does go into breast milk, which isn't great. But I'm getting desperate. Obviously it doesn't help that I have to wear pads all the time so can't get the area properly aired...sorry if tmi

Yes I did and I used Diflucan and was breastfeeding.

I did some internet research before I used it and I read something that gave me comfort that it would be safe to use it. From memory I think the research said that there was no reason why there should be a problem but because no proper clinical research had been done on it they had to say 'don't take while breastfeeding'.

Do a google search and see what you can find.

Yes I did after 5 days of antibiotics but chemist said I couldn't take anything because of my stitches...

I remember the argument now:

Fluconazole is prescribed to babies with oral thrush and the amount that would reach a baby through breastmilk is less than the dose they would be given.
