Me too. Yesterday I thought I was on the mend but feel poo today and DH has just kindly informed me that I look like crap "washed out".

So when does a cold become flu. I'm aware I sound like a man, but DP and I are really suffering and have been since Friday. Aching, hardly able to move, freezing cold, headache, aching chest and mucusy cough, no appetite. Just want to stay in bed. DCs have been in front of TV all weekend, poor loves. Thankfully they are OK. How long is it gonna last!!?

I have asthma so guess it's all gonna end with anti-biotics...

IME, if it's 'flu, you can't get out of bed. My MIL often has 'flu'. In fact DH said to me, "Y'know, if my mum had this cold she'd say she had flu AGAIN.

If you are that achingly yuck though do to see your GP. If you do have flu and asthma you should get seen asap. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm not. I'm in the US on a business trip and have had to keep struggling on. Managed to get a couple of hours in bed yesterday afternoon. Just got really bad cold, headache and terrible terrible cough with achey chest. Is my chest aching because of the strain of the coughing?

I'm going to be soooo popular on my flight home later today. Then again I got this horrible lurgy on the flight out here so maybe what goes around comes around!

I think I have od on Berocca to give me the energy to move.

My sinuses are agony, my chest hurts and I am exhausted. I have been so ill (high temp) during the last 2 nights I have been unable to sleep - have you any idea how boring this place is at 3am.

The DC did not get dressed until 1 hour ago and now we are leaving the house for some essential supplies.

I am pregnant with cold and sickness and ds who is 2 has only just recovered from ear infection.Dh is ill.Can i take medised at 16 weeks pregnant.

You can take paracetamol when pregnant but medised has an antihistamine in it so not sure about that bit. It'll say on the bottle if you can/can't. My mum swears by paracetamol and then drinks of hot water, honey and lemon for colds.
