What do gallstones feel like?

I have had this odd ache under my right hand ribs on of for about 3 weeks now and my back is sort of achy/burning sensation.

I don't feel ill but my shoulder is abit achy as well.

I am petrified of doc's. Can I get rid of on own? If it was that?

Gallstones, indigestion. Both relatively minor and easily sorted out with treatment. Have you tried the gaviscon someone else suggested? Do that before panicking. And if it is more serious, it's to be gallstones which, while important to treat, is only a problem if ignored.

I was going to try Zantac.. but cause of raised liver enzemes...scared to take anything with all the warnings on the packet!!
Plus..it's weird it's only one side?
I had hideous heartburn with my pregnancies, but in my chest not under my ribs!
Will gaviscon do any harm either way?
