Is there a Mumsnet style site for health/patients?

I'm trying to do some research into stroke rehab and would like to find something as brilliant a resource as mumsnet is to parenting. Stroke org is good but need something more like a forum of informed patients. Any ideas?

I've found lots of different health websites and forums. They tend to concentrate on one type of illness. I have used a few related to my illness but they're not as good as mumsnet as it's not so cheery talking about secondary cancers of the liver .

So sorry to hear about that ThingOne, hope things are going ok for you. Hope you've found the appropriate websites helpful. I've come across alot of health websites and forums but nothing where I quite feel there's a shared language of sharing information, if that makes sense, so I do think there would be room for something Mumsnetish, that covered a range of conditions, and in particular resources available in different areas. So far, my Stroke A level (that's what it feels like anyway) is going quite well on the clinical side but not so good on the rehab resources. Will trawl some more. Wishing you the very best of luck.
