I have 4 dc's and during each pregnancy i had carpal tunnel syndrome mildly. However since giving birth 6 weeks ago it has got so much worse. I can't do anything with my right hand without pins and needle and pain.
Will this get better on its own and what can I do to help?

I got CTS in both wrists after DS was born and it was awful kept me awake at night in agony (and thats before DS woke me up!!). I ended up have decompression ops on both wrists which seems to have sorted the problem once and for all. While I was waiting for the op I wore splints at night which really helped with the pain. I think the pain was at its worse 2-4 mths after DS was born it did subside after then but was still bad enough, togther with weakness in my wrists to want the ops to be done. I also took pain killers (paractemol, Ibruprofen and codine) to be honest when it was at its worst they didn't really touch it the splints though were a real help - though make life difficult if you go for a pee in the night!!!!Good luck with it.

I had this with my 2 dcs in pregnancy, at 8 weeks after the birth of my last I saw a really good chiropractor again that I'd seen near the end of my pregnancy and really helped with it to the point it just went away for good finally. Splints didn't help me though, it's horrible isn't it? Hope it improves soon.
