I now know what it is like to have a child who is hyperactive. Ds has been whizzing round the room singintg in a very high voice Brown girl in the ring and Do the Twist (Wiggles songs) giggling uncontrollable and just going doolally.

He fell at school and cut his head on Monday and it got infected.

The antibiotics are making him totally doolally, goodness knows what is inthem, also coupled with the fact we are having to hide them in very strong vimto or strawberry milkshake as he was refusing to take them.

Please don't tell me to ask for another type. He totally refused the first lot and the wonderful practice nurse managed to find a different one that we could hide otherwise he would have had to go into hospital to have them intravenously as the infection was threatening to turn into something very nasty.

How on earth do I bring him down to earth for the next 5 days (he has been taking them since Friday.

Also should I send hom to school tomorrow. He's not too bad in the morning, but by his 3rd dose of the day he starts to go loopy. I'll have to probably visit school anyway at lunchtime to give him a dose as he won;t take them normally from a spoon and the school nurse won't force them down like we are having to.

He is alseep now but we got up late so he only had 3 doses today, I'm going tp have to wake him in a bot to get another lot down him, oh joy of joys!!!!!!

Yes, we have a syringe. I treid twice with it this morning, he clamped his teeth together so dh held his nose whilst I tried to squirt it in the back of his throat.

Stubborn little monkey wasn't having any. I ended up covered.
