Do you think the dentist will be annoyed if I bring DD tomorrow?

I'm having my teeth cleaned and a seal put on the back teeth. DD is 14 months and I've got noone to look after her. Was thinking about taking her in the buggy with a few toys to distract her. Do you think that would be ok?

yes

charchargabor · 28/09/2008 16:59

Bollocks. What am I supposed to do then? I can't cancel the appointment as I've only just found that dentist and don't want them to take me off the books or anything. There is literally noone to look after her.

Mine wouldn't mind, guess it depends on your dentist! Phone receptionist and ask?

NorbertDentressangle · 28/09/2008 17:03

Our dentist doesn't mind if you have to bring children. The receptionists or nurses will always help out and entertain them if needed. It may be the same at your surgery?

When I had to take DS as a toddler I'd have him strapped in the pushcahir (in the room with me) with some snacks and books.

Suppose I'd better ring in the morning. I didn't even think of this until now. Hope they'll let me bring her because otherwise I can't go. Blardy children!

Oh good, two people that it's been ok for. Hopefully mine will be the same! I'll just take some books and hope she behaves. Thanks.

Take her - of course! Its good practice for her to see it, and its not like you are having anything grim done that might distress either of you.

Myself, I wouldn't even bother asking.

NotCod · 28/09/2008 17:05

no i meant its ok

charchargabor · 28/09/2008 17:06

Oh right gotcha Cod. I forgot I'd asked a different question in the post than the title. Cool, I'll take her then. Thankyou!
