GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT - how to use for thrush in baby and breasts?

Hello,

Have been struggling horribly with thrush in my 4 week old baby and it's gone into my milk ducts as well which is driving us both up the wall.

Finally got prescribed oral fluconazole for me yesterday but was going to use GSE on my nipples as well to help try and clear it. I gather I'm supposed to dilute it 4 drops per 100mls of water, but what I really need to know is:

*do I need to wash it off before feeding my baby?

and

*if I was going to use it in the baby's mouth to clear his thrush, how would I apply that? On a cotton bud or something?

Cheers for any advice!

Great - thanks for that. Hopefully this will get it shifted; it's been nearly 3 weeks now and the doctor has only just caved and prescribed fluconazole.
