growth near ear.

dd3 was born with what looks like a skin tag on her ear, basically at the entrance to the ear canel. The hospital has aranged for her to have a hearing check and also a scan on her kidneys, as apparently the growth can be linked to kidney problems. Her ear with the growth seems 'floppier' to me compared to her other ear. it looks very odd. has anyone had this themselves or a child with it? the paed also wants to contact the plastic surgery team with a view to possibly removing it, but they have to check its not grown inwards as well.

ds has one too - but very small on the outside of his ear
he is fine
is dd3;s inside her ear?

outside, tho may be going inwards as well. she also has another lump in the same area.

if you ppicture the ear, ds's is on he bit where the ear attaches to the face that stick out a bit,,,,
he is fine it is small

consdiering getting it removed maybe - but not sure.....
they mentioed hearing when he was first born but then said the position outside the ear meant it was fine

sure she will be fine!

i think the thought of plastic surgery bothers me more than the rest.

sounds a similar place to where dd3 growth is. its not a different colour, just looks like that bit of ear has grown the wrong way.
