Is there a website that you can check NHS waiting times for operations?

My consultant has made it clear that I can have an operation whenever I feel the time is right for me. I am thinking maybe now is the time. Can you check online how long the wait times are for a specific consultant at a specific hospital?

Well the NHS max is 18 weeks but for a particular consultant you just need to phone his/her secretary at the hospital and ask.

Is it really 18 weeks though? Last time I had an op (albeit 13 years ago) I waited 18 months. Is it different now?

absolutely, all government targets, so a toe operation waits as long as a hip replacement ! (in theory).

Right, gosh that wasn't what I was expecting, but thats great
