PMT getting worse by the month - help!

nickytwotimes · 20/09/2008 19:26

Each month I am even more irritable, achey and generally hacked off.
I have a reasonable diet.
I am not keen on alternative health 'remedies' as have found them to be a waste of money in the past.
Can anyone give me any tips on how to survive? Dh is suffering badly from my mood too.

Hi, sorry to hear about your PMT - I really sympathise as have suffered a lot with it. Have been pretty horrible at times! I've got a thread on Mental Health - have a look rather than me repeating it. GP is supportive. Horrible feeling isn't it!

I know you've said you're not keen on alternative health, but I take starflower oil and it is magic.

my GP actually prescribed it, so it's not a way out lentil weaving thing.

it really seems to even out the moods and the short fuse.

try wellwoman tablets they are huge but they actually work

i am now on prozac for my PMT - i take a wellwoman tablet in the morning and a prozac at tea time

its sounds drastic but PMT was dominating my life for 3 weeks a month

its not gone completely, i still have that disorganised feeling but the mood swings are a million times better
