Sudden rash in 17 months old DD - what could it be?

My DD seems to be covered in red blotches on her belly and side and top of her thighs. She also has a cold, but apart from runny nose and rash seems fine (no fever, eating, her usual chatty self). What could it be? Any thoughts welcome!

Have you done the glass test?Could just be a viral rash.

Yes, done that. I have pulled the skin and they seem to fade, so that seems to be okay.

Right. Just got back from the walk-in centre and it looks like she has a chest infection and the rash is nothing to worry about. She was given antibiotics, a zinc lotion and calpol. Also been told to not go out for the next 48 hours. Hopefully this is all gone soon!
