DH has yet another chest infection - which means as it is only 8 weeks since the last one, his treatment didn't work

Which makes me very sad

He was in Papworth for a week & had 2 weeks of IV anti-biotics & 5 days of IV steroids and 3 weeks of oral steroids

& it hasn't worked

sorry to hear that Katy, I don't know his history but we have regular LV ab's for dd2 and it's so difficult. Hope they find something that works soon!

How is DD? (is LV diferent to IV?)

LV should read IV's really should check my posts properly.

On the positive side some AB are as effective orally as IV.

DD started her last 2 week course 1 week before our family holiday to scotland, but we managed to get home IV' s as it's a regular event so we coiuld go (she has cystic Fibrosis)

Hope this course works, I've got my fingers crossed.
