On your advice and because I feel crap have taken the day off and have been ordered to stay in bed. You will need to entertain me today as my head hurts too much to read and I can only take so much daytime TV.

Mmm keep the germs away please!

Right, I am off to do some errands now, can I get you anything while I am out?

Buda · 15/09/2008 09:06

Bless you! Here - have a tissue.

A spoonful of honey makes lemsips more palatable.

mylittlesubatomicparticle · 15/09/2008 09:06

Get thee to bed!!! But first, take two paracetamol, two ibuprofen, nice comforting hot drink that you actually like, and sleep whilst your white cells fight the nasty viruses. Or stay and natter. As the first might help physically and the second mentally!

twinsetandpearls · 15/09/2008 09:07

I am on the sofa under the duvet on the laptop.

Gosh, how can you look at a screen if you are feeling this bad? Not being admonishing, just astonished as I find looking at a pc screen very hard when ill.

Are you alone in the house? I find illness the perfect time to wallow in favourite dvds.

cmotdibbler · 15/09/2008 09:13

I have manky cold and a chest infection today, and am working from bed. Sort of. On the basis that I am feeling too grim to be downstairs in my office, but a bit too well to not do anything.

Big sympathy - am going to have a really hot bath in a minute

twinsetandpearls · 15/09/2008 09:16

Dp has just said the same to me actually DDG.
Dp is at home as he works from home.

But no children at home? Go on, indulge yourself! There is something wonderfully comforting about watching a favourite film (or actor!) when ill. You may well drift off to sleep half way through, but as you have the remote right next to you, all you have to do is press a button and go back to where you last remember watching. (I am a woman of simple pleasures!)

DumbledoresGirl · 15/09/2008 09:22

Shhhhhh! I think she has nodded off.

twinsetandpearls · 15/09/2008 09:22

am going to sleep now.

twinsetandpearls · 15/09/2008 14:17

I felt better for a while but feel awful again. I am so hot and my head is banging. I may have to leave you all now and go back to sleep.
