Any gynaes about on MN or mumsnetters with prolapse?

I have a prolapse and should be seeing a gynaecologist tomorrow, but AF has overstayed welcome and will still be here tomorrow!

Can I go still?

If I can't will they gove me another appointment or will I have to be re-referred?

My GP immeiately asked if I would be willing to have surgery, and I am now scared aboutit, but also desp to get 'sorted' as in pain and discomfort.

Feel better for venting on here - it's just too personal for real life!

Well you could still go - as long as you don't mind!

I've got a vaginal prolapse - has got slightly better over the last two years but still can be uncomfortable esp when walking.

My gynae said there was no point having surgery whilst I'm still making babies. He said come back when I've stopped having children and he'll sort me out then!

I think it's fairly straightforward - you just get stitched up!

I am not making any more babies. DP has had snip, pg = hyperemesis for me and we have 3 dcs between us, so would rather not stall things for hat reason IYSWIM.

I wasn't sure if I could still go though? I won't be that bothered, it is not a comfortable situation anyway and won't be heavy bleeding but still...

Why don't you douche a bit before you go? I think you probably should - might be a while before you can get another appointment.

Don't worry about a bit of bleeding- the gynae will be more than used to it. When I did gynae, I used to have to internally examine women who were having miscarriages and obviously while in labour- neither of which are that clean and tidy!

I would still go. Chances are even if you made another appointment you'd find that your cycle chose tha moment do go mad and you'd find you have your period then as well! Hope you have a good appointment and get some good plans.

Yes, go. Won't bother them, it really won't. The only things you can't go with bleeding for is a smear/ colp. Hope they have a plan for you and you are soon sorted.
