i am always very regular to the hour usually, i have the dull back and tummy ache the being tearful the bloated tummy and boobs but no period, is it likely to be due to my age (43) or something else?

I would say imense stress OJ.

If you are still worried in a few days, go to the GP, but for now just try and relax and concentrate on you and the kids.

Thinking of you. x

if it was stress i would have thought it would happen before now, what will the doctor do? i am avoiding the doctors cos he wants me to go and have my cysts removed and i don't know how i can manage it

I dont know what doc will do - are the cysts down there related? if so, could it be those?!

stress

have you lost weight?

could be perimenopause

you do need to see doc at some point though.

onlyjoking9329 · 07/09/2008 12:17

I have lost a lot of weight gone down to a size 8 from a size 12 but lost most of that a while ago.
I guess it could be stress I just wished I would start cos feel terrible very tearful and irritable at the moment.

hopefully you will come on soon. if not, trip to the docs i'm afraid.

DutchOma · 07/09/2008 21:56

Can you take an aspirin? Real aspirin, not paracetamol.

onlyjoking9329 · 07/09/2008 22:30

i can take asprin but don't have any in the house, are they better than paracetomol?

They thin the blood as well as being a pain killer.

bumbling · 10/09/2008 17:22

Umm. I was like that about four years ago and I was pregnant...Any chance?

pushchair · 10/09/2008 17:31

Have had this and concluded my body was winding me up- late=stress=late.......and symptoms always worse.

onlyjoking9329 · 11/09/2008 13:50

Bumbling, i am most certainly not pregnant, my husband died three months ago.

oj - its stress hun i was like that for 4 months even the dr was confused-its just stress and youve had lots of that xx

bumbling · 11/09/2008 17:17

Oj - Huge, huge apologies. I'd no idea. Have been a regular, but occasional, Mnetter for nearly four years and I just didn't know. When I do come on I tend to ask a question or two and try to chip in on various threads in the hope of doing my bit for others because I've found MN so useful.

I'm so sorry about your husband and massively sorry if I've added to your pain in any way.

onlyjoking9329 · 11/09/2008 23:06

No worries, you didn't addd to my pain in fact it made me smile so don't worry. sorry if i made you feel bad i didn't mean to

bumbling · 12/09/2008 17:50

Thanks OJ and don't worry about me for a second. Sounds like you're doing very well and you've been very generous to me despite having a very, very tough time. I lost my brother ten years ago on Sunday, he was 30 at the time with two kids and a lovely wife who I'm still in close contact with. So I have an idea what it means to lose someone very close, but no idea at all how it must be to lose your other half.

onlyjoking9329 · 12/09/2008 20:46

sorry to hear that your brother died, i think any loss is tough really, and you weren't to know about our situation so no problems.

bumbling · 12/09/2008 21:17

Thanks OJ. Thinking of you.
