Hip and lower back very stiff and achey - spreading down to thighs.

Is there any specific exercises to help movement in them?

TIA

Current mummy has problems in that area and the physio has her

[a] kneeling on the floor with her knees together/close and then folding so her tummy&chest on her upper thighs with her back straight and her arms stretched forwards either side of her head to stretch the area

[b] feet shoulder width apart, bending forwrds and with a straight back and hands flat on low table /childs chair raising and lowering her body in a press up move

thanks for those.

Will try them as soon as ds in bed (otherwise he likes to 'help' )

Sitting on a gymball and rotating hips and back as though using a hula hoop. Of course this only helps if you have a gym ball.

Pelvic rocks: On all 4s. Arch back like a cat, then drop belly towards the floor. Repear..

Thanks - have been doing hula hooping on my wii fit. Do you think that will help as don't have gym ball?

Will try other one tonight.

I see said DS is 3 Armadillo, he could help with the 'concertina' as we call it be pushing from the middle of your back to 1 shoulder then from the middle to the other shoulder and repeat for the pelvis
