Having a MRI in a few hours.....

Im a little worried about it..I had a CT scan the other week ..is it the same sort of machine?

Its bigger, more enclosed. More claustrophobic - when I had CT I was OK but had to have sedation for MRI as I was a bit panicky.

Also it takes a bit longer, and you have to lie really still for ages.

Hope all is well for you and you get a good result. Don't be afraid to ask for a sedative if you want one - it is a bit like I imagine lying in a coffin would be, and I was glad not to remember too much about it.

Wear warm socks or have a blanket or something to put over your feet - the room may be cold!

Although you've probably had it now - hope it went OK!
