Is this something sinister? White spots on my nipples.

Discovered lots of white spots on my nipples last night. Definitely not thrush as haven't breastfed for 2 years. I squeezed them and some white stuff came out (and they hurt - a LOT!). Is this the sign of something sinister??

I think they are called Montgomery's Tubercles. We all have them.

MascaraOHara · 19/08/2008 09:21

I've always had them.. I have about a dozen on each.. advice is do not squeeze them.. although I often do

Oh, they have a name! Thank you.

Any reason why they should just appear though? Is it an age-related thing?

as a general rule, any unexpected change in your breasts should be checked by a doctor.
