ah, yes.....quite possibly!

how long have you had pins and needles for, and when is your next checkup with the fracture clinic???

did you get a cast care leaflet with your broken wrist, as that should have a number for you to ring first before traipsing down.

this is what I had with megs

lilymolly · 15/08/2008 18:53

Yes def swelling prob pressing on a nerve.

Not the end of the world though CvQ.
May be get it checked out at the fracture clinic next week ?

Did you have a operation, pins plates etc?

CvQ · 15/08/2008 18:54

CvQ - have a look here. Scroll down to Plaster cast problems, bullet point 2....

www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/Articles/article.aspx?ArticleId=2543

If the pins and needles are quite bad it may be worth a trip to A and E.

psychomum5 · 15/08/2008 19:16

no, you wonlt be operated on.

tis just that they have set the cast slightly worng is all.

did they change it yesterday????

psychomum5 · 15/08/2008 19:16

MatNanPlus · 15/08/2008 19:16

If it is constant ormore if you try tomovefingers/thumb then really do thinkyou need to go to A&E CvQ sorry

they should have asked yesterday in clinic TBH

psychomum5 · 15/08/2008 19:17

oh, and yes, A&E I'm afraid.

CvQ · 15/08/2008 19:18

yes its new but ive had the pins and needles for about a week??

gahhhhhhhhhh

OP posts:
psychomum5 · 15/08/2008 19:19

ooh....megs pins and needles were from them thinking it was just her wrist broken, when in fact it was her thumb (and badly at that), and they did not cast her thumb properly.

maybe they are missing a small other break???

MatNanPlus · 15/08/2008 19:20

wonder if it is that the break isn't as well placed as it could be?

Do think you should ring, should be reasonably quiet there at this time of evening

CvQ · 15/08/2008 19:24
