I found a lump

I found a lump in my breast last night. I feel really panicked. I know there are loads of possible reasons but of course you always imagine the worst. I've got a Dr appointment at lunchtime but I'm scared stiff. DH gave me a big hug and said to get it checked but I don't think he realises how scared I am. I'm always getting lumpy bits as I'm still feeding but this one feels different - its a proper lump. Both my closest friends are away on Valentines Breaks so I can't even talk about it. Just felt the need to "tell" someone.

I am really pleased for you Katherine!!!!

I had my lump out yesterday afternoon. The surgeon said it was exactly what he thought but would that they send everything to the labs just in case. It was all over in 10mins and they were so nice there. So if anyone wants a recommendation of a lovely hospital, Parkside definitely gets my vote.

I go back next Monday to get the stitches out(just a couple) and taking it easy today but feel great. So if anyone else has to have something like this done and can have it done with just a local anaesthetic go for it. Just have to remember not to use my right side for a few days and not to do any cleaning or hoovering as they prescribed
