Antidepressants and pregnancy

Is it risky to get pregnant whilst on antidepressants?

Some are fine, but I'd check with your GP

there's a resource on t'internet somewhere on meds and pregnancy

some are fine, i am on them

Do you know the web address / how I can find it?

The problem is I could be pregnant (but it is too early to test, and still taking my antidepressants.

I was wondering whether I should stop taking them until I know for sure.

I'm on mirtazapine (zispin)

well I wouldn't stop taking them as you might get nasty side-effects

go and see your GP

no idea re web address sorry, just have seem a link to it before (someone more knowledgable may be able to help)

Thanks Effie, I will see my GP but it takes ages to get an appointment unless its an emergency.

Try ringin NHS Direct? You need to speak to someone who knows about the specific meds you are on.

Also check the info leaflet you get in teh pill pack, that might tell you.

Hi Pottlepig, what happened? Did you get preganant while on mirtazapine? I'm interested as may be in same situation.
