DP's eye keeps swelling up, any ideas why??

Its the same eye, every couple of weeks it swells up and becomes sore.

He went to the doctor the first time and she said just to put a warm flannel on it, it didn't help and keeps returning.

Anyone know what it could be?

Eye ball or eye lid?

Where abouts? Around the lashes or above?

Is the swelling red?

Yep it does sound like a stye, poor dp, hope he can get rid of it, its really annoying him.
