Sick in the night, sore throat, ugh

I've tried to make the title reasonable subtle for the emetophobes among us, but the thread won't be ...

I woke at 5am from a dream about a sore stomach, got up, and bucketed loads from both ends. I feel okish now, maybe done throwing up. I'm pretty sure it was a bug, rather than food poisoning.

I've got rid of DS2 for the day, and DS1 is at my in-laws, so I can just rest.

But I'm worried I'm verging on dehydration, but my throat hurts so much from the puking ... are there any good tips to sort this out?

Also, I prepped a bunch of salad (coleslaw, and a lebanese thing) last night, for a picnic today. I know I can't feed that salad to anyone outside the family (duh) but can I eat it, when I feel better? Or am I better off just binning it all.

ice lollies?

I would say probably just bin the salad

maidamess · 25/07/2008 08:36

Poor you. I would bin the lot. Take tiny sips of water through a straw all day, or suck ice cubes.

It's safer, isn't it. Gah.

Don't think we have ice lollies, will have a look.

I'm really , it's DS2's last day at the co-op, which is a big deal for him and me. He's being mellow about it (thank god for swapsies, someone else is taking him, to the picnic etc etc), but I'm fecked off. But given that going up and down our stairs is wearing me out ...

No more puking. Throat getting better.

I'm nearly sort of getting hungry ... but only for plain pringles and cloudy apple juice. Which is what I always want when sick, go figure.

I might try to eat a tiny orange.
