You might go on the 'short' list in whch case you'll get called to be a filler (if someone else drops out. You usually get at least 24 hours notice.

Our trust policy is to redate you within 30 days ONLY if you are cancelled on the actual day of the op. Otherwise it's just as soon as possible, but you do get slightly preferential treatment.
