I have had it on and off for about a week. I woke this morning in agony so I went to the gp. He had a quick look and said 'there is barely anything there, I'll give you some drops'. I said that there was fluid leaking out and he said 'well I didn't see any'. I was in and out in under 3 minutes
I now feel awful, headachey and fevery and am on 400mg ibuprofen. Really hurts if I open my mouth wide

ouch! I've started with earache today too. With your other symptoms sounds like a head cold/flu..

You could try NHS Direct or pharmacy?

at Doc.

any chance you're under stress?

I had this, nothing in my ear, was grinding my teeth at night.

If so, try and relax before bed - milky drink, spray some lavender, write your worries on a bit of paper and fold it over.
And massive your jaw, sinuses and facial muscles.

Can't believe doc didn't suggest grinding
Sorry they were so crap.

i had this a while back and believe it or not it was a huge absess on a tooth, i had no toothache or anything just really bad ear pain. might be worth investigating if all else fails...

Carmenere · 22/07/2008 20:35

I don't think it is stress, I feel fevery but am not sure whether the earache is causing the fever or the cold is causing the earache iyswim. Feel like sh*t tbh
