AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

Sorry, needed that.
So, on top of many, many other things DH has now been having pains across his head. Not headaches as usual, but shooting pains all around his head.
He's been to the doctors today and they have said they will reassess him tomorrow when he goes in for a minor op.
They also said that some of the symptoms he mentioned would mean he had to go to hospital.
What Dh didn't do was ask why (men!)
So, what could these pains be? Why would they consider sending him to hospital?

I need a very large bottle of wine and a night out.

Could be lots of things, without knowing more abut your DH's history/meds/onset of symptoms/ any other symptoms etc etc then its hard to say. Can you give a bit more info?

Sorry ntnc, Only just seen this!

Ok, will try to give more explanation.
He has always had a low blood pressure, but no record of high bp at all.
He's on no medication.
The head pains aren't continuous, they come and go. He says they start at the back of his skull and shoot over his forehead.
He also says that he feels quite 'out of his head' at the moment, like when you take sleeping tablets and feel very fuzzy.
He did collapse the other day, wasn't out for very long at all though.
No flashing lights or aversion to lights.
No rashes or sickness - but he has had a bit of a tummy bug recently, nothing serious though.
