I think I have this 3 years after my last baby.

I have had 2 sections and have been on an exercise fad recently and have a definate dome in the centre of my abdomen when doing crunches.

Has any one any experience of this and what can be done ? Normal crunches do not seem to have helped.

I have it ... gave birth to twins 8 weeks ago. Third pregnancy. Physios told me to keep in touch .. think they ought to be able to help with specific exercises to improve but believe it will never be the same again

My friend had this after the birth of her second baby, very small and petite and relatively large baby. She was referred to a special obstetric physiotherapist and told that surgery might be necessary if the muscles didn't go back. She didn't have to do that and last time it was mentioned ("baby" is now 12!) told me that it was OK but not quite the same as before.

thanks for that. I googled it and the only 'cure' is surgery but a physio may help.
I think after 3 years it is not going to get better by itself !
I will have to bite the bullet and go to the gp for a referral.
