Ovulation does not always occur at the same time each month. It is very possible that it has occurred at day 16.

I had the usual discharge last mon/tues. fitting in around day 10/11.

See why I have namechanged?!

Totally your decision Whoopsie. How vital is it that you do not become pregnant?

lulumama · 14/07/2008 12:08

yes i would as i do not want any more children.

if you are prepared to take a chance and another baby ,even if a remote possibility is not going to be a disaster then don't

depends how much of a gamble you want to take, as it would be sods law you ovulated late !

whoopsie3 · 14/07/2008 13:17

Very true. Am reluctant to pay the money for it or sit through the session with the pharmacist where I basically have to promise not to do it again!

Another baby would cause problems. DH not keen and DC2 only a baby. Only have space for two in the house and the car. Skint. So i should get MAP. Thank you.

MAP is cheaper than having another baby. it is a small chance, but you cannot afford to take it.

perhaps see about a coil? very effective contraception and you don;t need to remember to take it

I'd take the MAP. No point in taking the risk if it would be bad to conceive.

lou031205 · 14/07/2008 15:21

I wouldn't, but then I never would, IYSWIM. If I would, then I probably would in the circumstances you describe.

whoopsie3 · 15/07/2008 11:42

I am all ewwww about the coil. Unjustified I know but I just couldn't! Have to go today as ran out of time yesterday.
