Are inverted nipples normal in babies?

Hiya, my DS is 8.5 months old and I think his nipples are inverted. I thought that it might be his baby fat making them look like this but they definately seem to go in the way. Does anyone elses baby have the same? Is it common or should I mention it to the HV? Thanks.

Hi, my 6wk old dd has inverted nipples as does my cousins 7month old ds.
For the record my friend had hers until puberty started

Yes, its normal

My dd had them when she was a baby, I used to be worried about. Had completely forgotten about it until I saw this thread - she is now 5 and they are normal. Have no idea when they popped out.

DS2 has them I have obviously noticed but haven't thought about it so can't be worried
