essbee - you need to contact NHS direct. Is it once a day btw - maximum safe daily dose is 60mg i understand - www.mentalhealth.com/drug/p30-c04.html#Head_14

They wouldn't think you were topping yourself with one. Ask them , put your mind at rest. Why are you on them anyway if they made you black out, Surely the doctor should have changed your prescription.

Google cipralex overdose - I just did and found the manufacturer's prescribing information that seems to suggest that a dangerous overdose is one in excess of 600mg. SSRIs are known for being safe in overdose, unlike tricyclics.

You can call NHS Direct anonymously, I think. They give you the option at the start of the call iirc.

yes but its dangerous, tell your doctor and change them, it wont be on your record, everyones done it at soem point

According to BNF maximum daily dose for adults 60mg. For elderly 40mg. Not recommended for children. hth as deff not advcertisement ;)

I was on 30-35mg normally with cipralex/ citalopram (cipralex is like a brand version of citalopram), I was ok with upping from 20mg, I think u may juist feel abit sicky. Was that reaction in the early weeks?? Cos i got that to initially. Hope your feeling ok ? may be ring NHS direct , did u forget when u took last one ?? Ive nearly done the same too.
