It's no socialising for 24 hours after D&V, isn't it?

DD woke up at 5.30am with diarrohea and a bit of sickness. After two or three episodes, she's ok and has had some toast etc.
However, even if she looks ok and says she feels fine, she can't go to her best friend's birthday party this afternoon can she?
Ways to explain it to a very disappointed four-year-old please....

schools now say 48 hours
sorry

48hrs I'm afraid.

I offer to do someting fun at home instead and make an extra effort for her. It may mess your day up, but in my house it is a sacrifice I give.

Scootergrrrl · 12/07/2008 08:28

It's not my day I mind about messing up but hers and I'm quite happy to spend the time doing something nice with her.

I also advise 48 hours to make sure the bug is completely out of the system.

Sorry!

No worries - we're definitely not going and have instead got Charlotte's Web to watch under a blanket on DVD. Hope that's sacrificial enough for you DontNeedAnything...
