So scared as have rash around my nipple:(

Have had a rash around my left nipple that keeps flaring up and going. It is also underneath my armpit as well.
Should I be worried??? I must admit I do feel quite scared but it does look like ezcema.

does it itch?

I totally forgot to mention it when I went to my gp today.
Everytime I google it it comes up with Pagets disease

have you changed soap powder/fabric conditioner/soap or anything lately?

is it scaley, dry or spotty/lumpy?

misdee - it's scaly and dry. Although quite inflammed after my bath tonight.
To be honest I always change soap, deodrant, washing stuff as I tend to buy things on offer.
I just feel in a total panic.
I am wondering if it could be linked to the fact that I have re-occurent bouts of thrush and had one only recently.

have you got an basic moisteriser handy? try keeping highly purfumes soap away from the area for a few days, and just moisterise it several times a day (are you breastfeeding at all? trying to remember who has babies, mind is mush atm, if you are then dont put anything too close to the nipple), and if it stays inflammed or starts weeping, or you are really really worried then see the gp.

you've been pretty run down lately havent you, with your dd and all that. that could account for the thrush and possible eczema. can you get any extra help at all?

Well I don't need help with dd it's just the accepting it all, especially as we don't have a firm dx. I know you can also get skin rashes with the ad's I am taking so maybe they are causing it?

Why dont you get it checked out with your GP BH?

It does sound like its nothing sinister, but best to get it checked and have that extra peace of mind?

It could be linked to the thrush, blossomhill; I frequently get thrush under my armpits, particularly when I'm run down. Do you have any canesten 1% cream you could put on it until you can get to see your GP? It won't do any harm if it's not thrush, and it might soothe the soreness.

Could definately be thrush. I am bf and have it on nipples and lip atm. Bloody thing isn't really painful but won't go away fully - as soon as I think it's gone it flares up again. There are pictures here

Seems to be on my other nipple now and I am just feeling itcy all over my skin. Dh is complaining of itching too do, do you think it could be Dove soap as we have never used it before???
