sterilisation - how long did it take you to recover?

I am being sterilised next week and was initially told to take 3 or 4 days off - It's being done on Thursday so I thought I would just go back to work on the Monday.
I had my pre-op assessment this morning and was told to take pretty much a week off.
I don't have enough holiday (don't get sick pay and can't afford ssp/unpaid at the moment) so wondered if I would still be ok to go back on the monday

Hello!

I'm not sure how different it'll be but mine made my recovery from the cs a lot longer and a lot sorer than ususal (lol said lilke a tru pro!)

I was told it was that gas they blow into you that was the main cause of needing the time off, I guess I will see how I get on and take the extra time if I need it!

Yes that is AGONY. The thing with the gas hurt more than the cs wound.

Lol didn't mean that to sound quite so fierce and put you off but it bloody hurts - it gives you a pain in your chest and your shoulder. I thought I was having a heart attack and couldn't move!

It took me a good two weeks to feel like I could function at some normal level, found walking hard as I felt quite dizzy
