DD (2yrs next month) slipped getting off a ride on Saturday and banged her head just by her temple on the ride next to her. The area had a deep dent in it, went white and slightly blue. She held her breath twice (usually only holds her breath once when she's screaming, then I have to blow in her face) and I took her to first aid for a cold compress. She seems ok in herslef now, but there is only a very slight bruise where it happened. I expected a huge bruise. There is also no bump. I was told a while a go that when it comes to bumps on the head, a bruise and a lump is a good sign because you can see the injury come out. So now this has worried me because you can't see the injury! Like I said, she seems fine in herself. She was sick once yesterday, but this was after a small coughing fit and she just threw up the milk she had just drank.

I'm going to get her an appointment at the Drs, because I'm worried, but does anyone think this is a bit more urgent??

My DD (5) banged her head on the table right on her temple on Thursday last week. God she screamed and I was expecting a huge bruise, but absolutely nothing, so maybe this isn't an area that bruises.

Given that it happened to your DD on Saturday and she seems ok in herself, I think you are doing the right thing by getting her checked over, but doesn't sound like it's more urgent.
