St. John's Ambulence may run them.

I did the Life Saver course with these people in St John's Wood (NW8). It was very good and the teacher was great. There weren't any children doing it but you could contact them to see if it was ok to bring them (I'm certain the 16 year old would be fine). The course covered basic life saving techniques for choking, drowning, shock etc and they also run a further course covering accidents at home such as burns and cuts. The class was in the evening (7 - 10pm) and some had brought their babies. Not cheap though (£50 per person) but most of the courses i found were of a similar price. They do private courses in your home for about £300 or something for up to 10 people...

British Red Cross are running some for babies and children.

I am going on one the week after next. I can let you know if its any good.

We organised it ourselves, you may find a bunch of people in your area that are organising one.
