i can't beleive this - been organic since prepreg and little one mainly eats organic

we go for a walk today near us

suddenly big bi tractor appears and literally near us sprays white clear liquid with sweet smell..one huge dose and air smeeling of this liquid

think we all got a massive doe of pesticide

am absolutely terrified it would have harmed my 11 month old!!! can't sleep!

he gave one little sneeze after even my hubby saw it was dangerous and ran away with him to a distance

has anyone had a similar experience - can't go to a gp as am not sure it was 100% pesticide but likely... and lo has no sympotms -...well to show

am absolutely worried - bloody tractor spraying so close ot a footpath! saw my hubby running away with little one and didn't even stop

Pesticides are diluted down hugely before they are applied, i've applied chemicals where you put 200ml of concentrate into 1000l of water. If you got a drift of spray, the drops are so tiny, you probably were touched by less than a teaspoonful of liquid.
Also, most pesticides which are applied these days are very target specific. You will not be directly affected by a chemical which is designed to break down the cell wall of a fungus, or kill the eggs of an aphid.
As an aside, there are pesticides which are permitted to be applied to organic crops, and which are much more harmful to humans (particularly the sprayer operator) than conventional, target-specific pesticides. One organic approved pesticide is nicotine.
The residues left on crops are so vanishingly small that you really should not worry about them.
