Tendinitis in the shoulder - anyone had this?

I've been having physio for a few weeks and it isn't any better. After my session today, it is worse than it has been for months.

Has anyone had this and actually recovered? It feels like my shoulder will always be painful and I'm fed up of the constant aching and sharp pains when I move it.

Please tell me this will get better.

Yes, I have had this for years and still have it now. It started about 11 years ago for me but has gotten better with physio and exercises etc.

Horrible isn't it. I understand the pain you are in.

I don't know if it will get all better as mine hasn't but like I said with physio it isn't as bad.

I had it for 4 years, it got to the stage where I couldn't dress myself, do up my trousers etc, lift my arm up to put a top on, put my arm anywhere near behind my back. The pain at nighttime was almost unbearable.

However...eventually my physio appts came up and at the same time I discovered I was pregnant. It disappeared overnight and I haven't suffered since. (21 months ago)

Thanks for your replies. It's so frustrating - most of the time it isn't terribly painful but there is a constant dull ache which makes me miserable. The sharp pains are ok, in a way, because I know they go away.

I'm glad it is manageable for you both. I guess I'll just have to stick with the physio and hope it works
