Question for anyone who's had to use Movicol (or similar) ..

Paed put DS1 on this last week - for 7 days - course ended Friday and as he didn't seem 'clear', Dr extended dosage at 8 sachets a day for 3 more days but said I should call today if his bm's weren't clear liquid w/out lumps. Last night we seemed to have hit this stage - he was certainly only passing browny coloured water with little grit. But ... to be safe I've given him (most of) today's dose anyway and he's only just had a bm (so too late to call Paed back) and it was pastey. Do we count last night as having hit the target or should his bms be consistently liquid once all the old faeces has cleared from his bowel?

Thanks - and sorry for being so graphic and long-winded!!

I don't know with Movicol but with Lactulose/Senakot mixture my ds had very pasty and incredibly long poos having had a day or two of explosive wet stuff.
