Symmetrical finger and toes aches

I have developed symmetrical finger and toe aches the last few weeks. I have been on my phone a lot more recently as searching for jobs so initially put my finger aches down to that but it’s now my toes and I have noticed symmetrical aches. It’s mainly lengths of fingers, finger tips and thumb joint. Are symmetrical aches always rheumatoid arthritis? Have contacted GP. Feel very anxious (which I’m sure isn’t helping!). I am 43 btw.

Do you have any other symptoms? Heat, swelling in the joints, fatigue? I have rheumatoid arthritis and the start of the pain was actually on the joints rather that fingertips/lengths of fingers etc, plus a lot of heat in the joints

No obvious swelling or heat in the joints

Any stiffness in the joints? It hopefully doesn’t sound like rheumatoid arthritis if there’s no heat, swelling or stiffness but still worth getting checked out. The GP will be able to do blood tests to look for inflammatory markers.

There is stiffness in the thumbs and one wrist. And a little in fingers but it is more length of finger than focused on a joint, if that makes sense (not sure it does to me).
